Summary:
Under the direction of the Surgical Services Director, the Perioperative systems analyst will provide Surgical Services Application Technical Support, evaluate and maintain the proper level of data integrity within the surgical services application data warehouse and create and perform analysis on financial and operational data. Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Acts as liaison between the Surgical Services departments and Information Systems for assigned application related requirements. Performs, in conjunction with Information Systems, analysis of Surgical Services department needs. Assists Surgical Services users in determining needs or requirements to support department clinical application by collecting information and interviewing departmental personnel to ascertain possible solutions. Is a subject matter expert in the use of the department clinical application and trains key users on new and/or existing applications. Responsible for implementing, maintaining and upgrading assigned applications to enhance department workflow. Assists in writing and with Surgical Services Director implementing system policies and procedures. Monitors all users of the departmental clinical application to include post case data, scheduling, materials management. Provides independent application-based technical support for the Surgical Services systems including after hours when required. With assistance from IS, prepares and maintains work plans for new system implementations in Surgical Services, major projects and upgrades assigned to them. With assistance from IS manages the projects and tracks status and deliverables, identifies overruns and manages agreed-upon deadlines. With assistance from IS, develops conversion and live plans, reviews and communicates plans to hospital personnel who are impacted Competencies Skills Essential:
Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal Knowledge Of Basic Computer Programs Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members Able To Withstand Crisis Situations Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors Experience With Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, Etc. Credentials Education Essential:
High school graduate or equivalent Bachelors degree highly preferred Other Information Other information:
Recent experience in healthcare clinical applications, 3-5 years hospital experience Hospital clinical application experience, preferably with database administrator skills. Experience with financial modeling. Ability to work independently. Computer experience required and must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. ORSOS or Surgical Services application experience. Experience in training support and assistance of end users.
